Welcome to the GSI Briefing podcast – hosted by Regina Egea, President of the Garden State Initiative.

This episode features Regina’s conversation with Col. Jeff Contor (Ret.)

Col. Jeff Cantor is the founder and CEO of the New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce which launched in November 2018. He is a co-author of a new report GSI released in cooperation with the Veterans Chamber that looks at how well our state is living up to its commitments to veteran owned businesses.

After a 32-year career serving in active and reserve duty, he retired in 2017 at the rank of Colonel in the Army Reserve. He is a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has been awarded a Legion of Merit, a Bronze Star Medal and many other awards over his career.

Col. Cantor previously served as the Lead for Veterans Economic Development for the State of New Jersey supporting veterans through meaningful employment or entrepreneurship, as well as helping formerly incarcerated veterans.

Col. Cantor has also helped veterans impacted by Superstorm Sandy, those affected by poor health and mobility, and financially supported the families of members of special operations killed in the line of duty.

He is currently the CEO of Lima Charlie Construction who provide asphalt milling and paving as well as concrete, utility, and other construction site work.
