Garden State Initiative to Host Virtual Roundtable on Energy Policy

Morristown, NJ — Garden State Initiative (GSI) will host a virtual policy roundtable and energy status report, Beyond Ideology: Energy Policy That Works, on October 13th from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM EST. The program will take place as a Zoom webinar.

 The roundtable will bring together national thought leaders, members of Congress, and grassroots advocates to deliver a candid assessment of America’s energy future at a pivotal moment for policy and progress. This timely discussion will feature leading voices in energy policy, including the Keynote Robert Bryce, acclaimed author and energy analyst, along with Congressman Jeff Van Drew (NJ), Chairman, Subcommittee on Oversight, and Congressman Gary Palmer (AL), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Environment. Grassroots leader Bob Stern of Save LBI will also provide an update on advocacy efforts along the East Coast.

“This roundtable will provide an honest, solutions-focused discussion about the future of  energy policy in New Jersey- and throughout the nation at a pivotal moment,” said Audrey Lane, GSI President.

The forum will explore critical questions shaping the nation’s energy future, including:

  • • The outlook for offshore wind and solar in New Jersey and across the United States

  • • The status of offshore wind projects following recent federal executive actions

  • • The energy portfolio that best ensures sustainable, affordable, and reliable power
