The Wall Street Journal: ‘My Clients Are Fleeing NJ Like It’s on Fire’

James Freeman, assistant editor of The Wall Street Journal’s editorial page, was among the speakers at GSI’s Economic Policy Forum on May 2. He wrote about his experience at the forum in his “Best of the Web” column.

“Your humble correspondent participated in a panel discussion at an event hosted by the Garden State Initiative today and was pleased to discover that at least some residents of New Jersey are not yet ready to abandon hope,” Freeman wrote. “They’re urging Gov. Murphy to make the state’s tax burden competitive again. Following federal reform, the residents who remain in blue states have a whole new reason to demand that politicians put out the fire.”
