In this episode of The GSI Briefing, Regina Egea is joined by Dan Geltrude to discuss several important financial topics outlined in the GSI report entitled: Retirees and New Jersey: How We Can Be Perfect Together.
The report highlights factors and policy recommendations including healthcare, income taxes, property taxes and public transportation gaps.
Dan took part in GSI’s first Economic Forum in 2018, and Regina and Dan discuss how things have changed since then, and what policies other states have adopted to attract more individuals and businesses.
Regarding GSI’s new report, Dan discusses the topic of affordability for retirees and New Jersey’s cost of living. Regina and Dan demystify the topic of SALT (State and Local Taxes) and Dan uses simple-to-understand metaphors to break down New Jersey’s fiscal situation.

Dan Geltrude, CPA, nicknamed America’s Accountant, is a much sought-after financial and political expert, who is frequently interviewed on television, radio, and in print.
